We had an amazing stay at the lodge, located halfway up a mountain. the location was perfect, just a 15-20 minute drive from the amphitheatre. the hotel offered easy access to beautiful trails right next to it, including a stunning waterfall hike. the staff was extremely helpful, nice, and welcoming, making our stay even more enjoyable. We also had the opportunity to experience the Sunday Catholic Church Service, where the humble choir sang the most beautiful music in their native language. It was a great opportunity to interact with the local community. Cons: All was perfect. 👌😊.

Wow, what a drive up to the hotel! The location is simply stunning, nestled in the mountains. The views from our room were breathtaking, waking up to the surrounding mountains was a magical experience. The size of the chalet was spacious and comfortable, with electric warmup beds for added coziness. The staff, especially Evet the manager, were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. They even had shuttle drives, lunch boxes, and maps available for our hiking adventures. The sense of community among the staff and guests made us feel like we were among friends. Despite some minor issues, we loved our stay and would definitely recommend staying at this lodge.

We were blown away by the stunning views at Witsieshoek Mountain Lodge. The surrounding mountains and the breathtaking Amphitheater were truly awe-inspiring. Our room was clean and comfortable, especially after a long day of hiking. The staff, including Baba at Reception, Ghotso the waiter, and Simon our bar man, went above and beyond to make our stay extra special. It was the perfect place for hiking!
The windy weather conditions during our stay were quite intense and caused some inconveniences. Our room's main door rattled loudly all night, but we managed to find a temporary solution to limit the noise.

The location was breathtaking, with towering rocks and a narrow river to wade through. The hiking trails were some of the best in South Africa.
Just loved having staff hanging around and eating in the dining area, as well as a non-functional TV and WiFi. And who needs ironed clothes anyway?

I recently stayed at Witsieshoek and met some fascinating fellow hikers. The indoor facilities were excellent, especially since the weather wasn't great for outdoor activities. The food and catering were also of high quality. The surrounding area is perfect for hiking and enjoying nature, with beautiful views. The staff were friendly and the restaurant was good. The bed was comfy and the shower was good too.
Would recommend this hotel.

Surrounded by majestic mountains, with a jaw-dropping sunrise and dramatic mist rolling in. The newly redone rooms were super cozy, with hot showers and sparkling white towels. The staff were amazing, friendly, and professional - they really made our stay unforgettable. The views of Sentinel Peak were mind-blowing, and the proximity to the chain ladder route was a huge plus. The lodge also offered free parking, an electric kettle, and a paid shuttle service. The leisure/TV room, darts, and hiking activities kept us entertained, and the bar/lounge area and restaurant served delicious food and welcome drinks. There was also a coffee shop and various beauty and massage treatments available. The children's menu and board games were great for families, and the luggage storage and 24-hour security provided peace of mind. a fantastic stay with breathtaking views and incredible staff.

The Fika Patso Trail was off the hook, with epic views and sick single tracks. Climbing down the Crack was gnarly, perfect for an adrenaline rush. The lodge offers affordable accommodation for us young guns who love to hike and chill with our crew. And let's not forget about the short nature trails, they were dope for exploring!
The one thing we would've loved to have at the lodge is a bangin' party scene. As teenagers, we wanted to let loose and have some wild fun, but the vibe was more chill and laid-back.

I recently had an amazing getaway with a group of friends at a mountain lodge. the location was breathtaking with stunning views of the mountains and nearby waterfalls. We enjoyed safe and relaxing hikes, including the Tugela Falls and Gudu Falls trails. the rooms were comfortable and clean, with neat and simple amenities. the staff was extremely friendly and informative about hiking conditions. We also appreciated the availability of braai stands for cooking. It was a great place for a peaceful retreat with friends.
The food and beverage options were limited, and the communal TV was not to everyone's taste.
